Last year in my city, some citizens staged the first Holi festival; completely inspired by yours in India. I wanted to photograph it but I had another assignment outside of the city.
I might get another chance this summer. The aim of the group who put it on in Gage Park is to make it an annual local tradition. It seems to have had a good turn out last year so hopefully they’ll succeed in getting the green light to hold it again.
